Fermin Tijerina Medical Fund

September 15, 2017 is a day that will change our lives forever. Fermin was given the gift of a brand new liver....we have been waiting for this day for more than 14 years! We give all honor and glory to God for this miraculous gift. As we get closer to our release from the hospital we are faced with the expenses of anti-rejection medication, medical bill payments, expenses of being away from home (we have to be in San Antonio for 3-4 days a week for at least a month), and other expenses that keep arriving daily. If you know Fermin and I at all you know we are givers, so creating this account and asking for help hasn't been easy. I have to think realistically about these expenses and our need for financial help. His surgery cost was in the ballpark of 500,000. Our portion is roughly 100,000. His anti-rejection medication will be taken daily for the rest of his life. Although we don't know the exact cost of these medications, we know they are required and we must have the funds to pay for them. We are fortunate to have family members in San Antonio we will stay with during these days. I'm asking you to search your heart and give whatever is on your heart to give; either one time or on a consistent basis.
