Robert's Journey

My husband has Synovial Sarcoma Cancer. He was mis-diagnosed May 15th of 2017. They first told us it was Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. So May31 was the last day of work. Surgery was scheduled for June 7, to remove his Thyroid. During the surgery to remove the MASS, and Thyroid, they cut off his Clavicle and they nicked his jugular. He was given 4 bags of blood and platelets. He was resuscitated twice. A 2 hour, one night hospital stay turned into nearly 6 hour surgery and 5 nights in the hospital. Now going through very intense Chemotherapy treatments, it's getting really hard. So, we're asking for assistance! This is the toughest time of our 41 year marriage. His cancer is Stage III, high grade, due to its' location and his age is extremely rare. The recurrence factor is very high. Robert remains strong in his fight. But it's becoming hard for him to stay positive. It hurts all of us to see such a Warrior going through all this. His benefits at work are now exhausted and to ease our worries.
