Ray's Preparation for Memorial Fund

    This fundraiser is for my father Raymundo Nevarez. A few years ago he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and he stopped drinking. He was encouraged to do so by his doctors in hope his liver would eventually restore it self. It has been over 9 years now that he gave up alcohol. He had altered his poor choices in life to try to make more time to spend with us here on Earth but unfortunately not everything happens like we would like it and the damage to his liver has not stopped growing.    
      In January this year 2020 the doctors  have determined my father Raymundo to be Terminal and given him the classification status of “End of Life”.  Raymundo  has stage four Liver Cirrhosis  ESLD. This means his liver has already started to decompose which will ultimately lead to death, while we don’t know when this will occur we are trying to not plan a funeral last minute that is undeserving for him
     As heartbreaking and painful this is for us all, Ray wishes to be near all his family and friends for his final steps in life. At the direction of his doctor’s, due to extreme  fatigue and weakness, as of last week Raymundo is no longer permitted to work. As you can imagine, this is a devastating blow for our family. 
   My father has worked over 20 years as a Journeyman . He and my mother moved in with me at the end of January with every intention of continuing work but have been unable to due to Covid -19and now related health issues. He lost everything during our government shutdown. Medical insurance,  life insurance policies, and now he feels his loosing control to help with future financial necessities. 
     My father never had an easy childhood and never knew his own father. He spent the majority of his life working for his family and believed in trying to give everything he never had to his children. He wanted us to know the meaning of “Family”, with a mother and father always present. My father bought a home back in 2004 but lost it with almost everything they had during the recession and had to start over. No matter what Life challenges were thrown at him, he has always did his best to overcome them. Im afraid this challenge in life he cannot do alone. 
     I love my dad so much but with three children of my own to support and raise it is difficult to completely fund my fathers soon to be funeral. At the very least our family would love to have a complete funeral service that my father deserves, and with your help and donations we can cover the costs of his medication, hospice care, and final interment. 
    This year our only holiday wishes are to be together.  I  hope and pray you can  help with arrangements to allow my family and I to rest my father when the time comes. The money donated here will go towards securing preparations for funeral and final expenses.
