Nicole Goeb

Hey everyone! If you are reading this you probably have been following Nicole and her difficult journey with her Ulcerative Colitis. After an almost 3 week hospital stay and several failed medications, Nicole and her family, as well as the doctors have come to the decision that since her colon is so diseased the best option at this point is to do surgery and remove it. The surgery will consist of a total colectomy which is removal of her entire colon. When they remove her colon they will take her small intestine and attach it to an external bag. This bag will be temporary (6-9 months) to let her insides "calm down" and then will have a second surgery to attach her small intestine to her rectum and she will be bag free and able to use the restroom just like everyone else and be able to get back to a "normal" life. Her recovery time after surgery will range from 4-8 weeks, and as a family they are coordinating people who can come to their home and help Nicole heal, prepare meals, and provide comfort and support.

As you can imagine not only has this been physically, emotionally, and mentally draining on their family but financially as well. After much hesitation and feeling of guilt they decided to start a gofundme page to help with expenses of childcare for the girls. This money will solely go to Harper and Henley and the expenses of childcare coverage during the several weeks it takes for Nicole to heal as she will be unable to fully care for them during her recovery.
