Please Help My Foal ❤️

This is a photo of my five and one half month old foal, who was rushed to Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center early this morning. She is currently in intensive care. First, I ask for your prayers. Notion was born in what appeared to be a routine birth, until her nose appeared in the birth canal. The vet was called immediately as the mare delivered this sweet soul. Notion was born with a condition called Wry nose. "Wry nose, or deviated rostral maxilla and associated nasal septal deviation, is a deformity in the horse (she is born with it). ... No one really knows what causes it, but it might result from malpositioning in the uterus." Our vet gave us the options soon after she arrived but this baby was making up our minds. She wanted to LIVE. So, we decided if she was going to try we would try just as hard. She learned to drink from a bucket sideways because she couldn't nurse. She fought to live through every problem she encountered. A plan for surgery was made and we did everything right. The surgeon wanted to wait until she was 6 months old. About 3 weeks ago, she started having a harder time breathing because she was growing and her demand for oxygen was growing too. The surgery date was moved up. Last week, she was struggling and the vet came out and put in a trach tube. The tube was cleaned daily. Notion was checked hourly. Last night, she started to struggle breathing. Our vet came out and got her as stable as possible. She was put on the trailer and rushed to the hospital. She is now on oxygen in intensive care. The bill for 48 hours will run 3,000. If she stays a few days the cost for intensive care will be approximately 6,000. This is in addition to the cost of surgery which was estimated at 6,000 but may increase now. Notion is fighting to live. Now, I'm asking you to help me keep her alive. Any money donated will go directly to the equine center for her care.
