Pool Relief in the Bahamas

Donation protected
My name is Erin Andrews, and I was one of the survivors of Hurricane Maria when it hit St. Croix. I was 14 years old, and knee-deep in training, to go to my 3rd CARIFTA, when I was pulled from my home due to the fact that my father could not work. I swam for the Dolphins, and I hated the fact that there was a possibility I wouldn't be able to swim for them again, as well as leaving my home, as we had lived on the island since I was 3.  We ended up relocating to Pennsylvania, where we found a good school district, new swim teams and new sports that we also feel just as passionate about. My new sport, as well as my brothers', is water polo, and using the sport, I want to help other swim teams and water polo teams in the Bahamas.

I personally know how important national team meets were and still are to me, and I want to help to rebuild that in the Bahamas. A friend of mine from school, Luke (a water polo player and swimmer as well), and I are organizing a middle school water polo tournament, with all the proceeds going towards reconstructing pools in Grand Bahama and Albaco. According to the Bahamas Swimming Federation, there is around $10,000 - $15,000 worth of damage, and with our tournament we are hoping to earn as much money as we can so they can get as much immediate relief as possible.
