My BLU ! Get Well !

Donation protected
As many of you may be aware, and some of you may not be, my 5 year old granddaughter, BLU, has a rare, congenital heart defect called :: Aberrant Subclavian Right Artery Syndrome which affects 1% of people.( https://www.hindawi.com/journals/cripe/2016/2539374/) This condition affects her aorta, which wraps around her esophagus causing her to choke. She was born with this and has been sick with sinus infections and breathing issues from infancy, which were misdiagnosed. For the last year there have been extensive testing as symptoms have progressively worsened especially during the last 6 months. Blu continues to choke, especially at night. Her momma , Aundrea, sits up at night and holds Blu up to alleviate the choking symptoms and has done this for at least six months now. Blu has gone through an extreme amount of testing, scopes, doctor’s appointments, x-rays, biopsies, emergency room visits and scans as symptoms have worsened. In fact, she has had a test, a shot, or a doctor’s appointment almost every week for the past 6 months. On a positive note, at least now they have pinpointed what her medical issue is, but on another note she still requires a lot of medical attention and is facing surgery to correct this issue. This particular surgery will require travel and accommodations out of state because it must be done by a specialist. These unexpected expenses are in addition to the already growing pile of medical bills. Blu's hard-working daddy (Scooter) Brant Scott, has had to take off from work many, many days as they go from appointment to appointment and doctor to doctor. He is dedicated to being there with each doctor's appointment. As you can imagine, this has cut into his work hours but he always tries to supplement that with any extra work he can pick up. Even so, the medical bills are stacking up. Also of a deep concern to me is the emotional and financial strain it has put on this little family in their time of stress and worry. Blu's loving momma, Aundrea Scott, is there with her little girls every step of the way, comforting and encouraging them. Although not well herself and being treated for migraines and various other illnesses, she maintains a brave front in front of people and needs your prayers and encouragement. Then there is Blu's sweet sister Elli who watches out for her little sister and always takes care of her. I often notice her listening and watching and making sure that Blu is OK when she starts choking. After each test or doctor’s appointment, she listens with her more compassion than I thought was possible for a seven year old as Blu tells her sister what she just had done. It's just human nature that it's hard to ask for assistance … even when you need it.....In view of the situation with Blu's health, I feel like now is the time to ask for such assistance. If there's anything that you would like to donate to offset some of Scooter and Aundrea's expenses ... it would be much appreciated and of course all your prayers are always appreciated!!!!!
