Horse Neglect, In Memory Of Marge

Update** We have chose to continue the battle to fight against Horse Neglect. We had a decal made in memory of Marge, and all proceeds raised from this campaign and from the sales of the decal will go toward a Draft Horse in need.

Update*Marge lost her battle and passed away on Sept 9th 2017 at approximately 3:30 pm. Our Vet tried everything he could to save her. We are very sad that Marge went through this. With her being extremely underweight, and then getting toxic Mastitis her body was just too weak to fight.

Marge is a 9yr old Clydesdale mare that we bought from a family in California, and was brought home a the first week of September. Sadly Marge came to us in worse health than we had been lead to believe. We bought her and another mare from California. Had them hauled both to SD. We bought them knowing Marge was a little under weight, and were led to believe Kristen the other mare was in good weight. But when Our hauler arrived with them we were shocked. Kristen was thin, she looked like we thought Marge would look like. I was upset, but then Marge came off the trailer, I was pissed. She was nothing but bones, with a huge huge bag. She had gotten milk toxicity, and with being so thin she just couldn't fight it, even with the help of the best equine medicine. Unfortunately Marge went down Sunday September 10th, and was rushed to the vet. We are asking for any and all help with her vet bills. We are trying everything we can to save her.
