Shane Williams Recovery

On September 9, 2017, Shane Williams fell and suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury resulting in loss of speech and short-term memory. If you personally know the couple, you know how sweet and caring these two are. For those of you that don't know how caring they are, let me tell you a short story.
May 1, 2009, I (Norman) experienced a severe injury myself in which I was hospitalized for 6 weeks and had months of recovery. When Shane found out, he quit his job in Alaska and came to Texas to help take care of someone he had known for just over a year. This decision changed his life forever. This is when he met Jenna. The person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Shane didn't think twice about coming to Texas, and in return his life began to move in the direction he always wanted. A beautiful wife, and the opportunity to fly helicopters.
Shane is now in Craig Hospital and Rehabiliation Center in Englewood, Colorado in which he will undergo extensive therapy. Jenna has asked that people not come to Colorado in order for Shane to focus on his treatments. He's still experiencing speech issues and some short-term memory problems, but we all know how determined Shane can be. So we truly believe he will fight as hard as possible to walk away from this fully recovered. Keep saying those prayers.
The road to recovery is going to be long and expensive beyond their means. Jenna needs to be by his side during the whole recovery process in order to understand his limitations and learn how best to assist him. Something none of us ever want to experience.
