Help the Youth

My name is Adom. I founded Ball4Good as part of a school project when I was 12 years old. In the past 4 years, my team and I have raised over $100,000 to support 28 nonprofits including children impacted by abuse, cancer, COVID-19, after-school programming, mental health, different abilities, autism, and more.

Thanks to the continuous support from donors and community leaders, Ball4Good has remained an impactful force in Spartanburg County and beyond. As a result of our work, I was honored with the 2021 Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award at the recently held ESPN Sports Humanitarian Awards. This national award comes with a $10,000 charitable donation. My goal is to leverage the award by inviting you to help me increase the initial $10,000 seed money to help us sustain the work of Ball4Good in the long term. If we are able to grow the Ball4Good fund, it will help us sustain our community work and youth advocacy for many years.

Since 2016, the journey of Ball4Good has been one full of compassion, curiosity, and most of all growth. As a youth-run organization, we have faced countless operational obstacles since our inception. However, with the help of our mentors, advisors, volunteers, and donors, we have persevered. Despite the challenges we’ve faced, our team has remained resilient, tackling each problem head-on with an innovative solution.

With the help of individual donors and organizations like the Spartanburg County Foundation, Southeastern Paper Group, Sky Webster, United Way, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, AFL Global, LabCorp, Contec, Carolina Alliance Bank, Spartanburg Nephrology, City of Spartanburg, SunTrust Foundation, The Stone Foundation, Atchison Transportation, Innovation Abound and Spartanburg Day School, we have had a positive impact on several youth over the past 4 years.

As my time in high school comes to a close, our team is faced with an obstacle that cannot be overcome with persistence alone. Your donation will ensure that students volunteering for Ball4Good will continue to have a window into the world of leadership and philanthropy. With your help, Ball4Good will have a positive impact on nonprofits that support children and assist local youth with hands-on skill development.

Please donate to help us continue supporting initiatives that help youth. Your benevolence is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
