I swore I would never make one of these. Like no matter what, I would always figure it out. But then life happens.
Stefan got sick on Tuesday, August 22nd. Not complaining of anything other than a stomachache and some vomiting we figured it was a stomach flu and would let it run its course. Come Sunday he had an episode of extreme pain and vomiting and was shaking and almost paralyzed like. He was rushed into the emergency room where they found that his appendix had ruptured 6 days earlier. He was sent in for emergency surgery to remove his appendix on Sunday, August 27. While they were in surgery they also discovered an abscess the size of a grapefruit that formed from the appendix having been ruptured for so long. Recovery was rough but he took it like a champ and was released at the end of the week just to end up in pain and back in the emergency room a day later. He was then released again with pain meds.
Came in for a post op appt and back in the emergency room with a higher white blood cell count and three new abscesses. 2 of the abscesses are in too risky of areas to operate on right away, but he is back in surgery now as I type this (partly trying to distract myself) to remove the one and have a tube placed to drain out of his side for the next few days as we figure out how to tackle the other 2.
Again it took so much for me to muster up the courage to make this page and any donation will help at all. I have no more paid time off work and he is in the Santa Clara hospital located almost 2 hours each way from my home and work. I need to be with my baby but I need to pay bills. I wouldn't wish this position on my worst foe. I don't have a "goal" amount like this app asks for, literally anything will help.
