Teen Suicide Awareness-Skyla Lomas
Donation protected
My daughter, Skyla tragically lost her battle with depression on Easter Saturday last year. She was 16. Since then I have heard many stories from her friends saying that although Skyla was struggling with mental health herself, she had helped many of her peers thorough their darkest times just by being there for them and to offer words of encouragement. Skyla created a picture book for a school assessment last year, and the topic she chose was one that was close to her heart. Mental health and suicide prevention. When she was alive, her and I had a dream to get this book published and to share it with other teens who were battling with depression themselves.
The title of the book is "Things can change". I would still like to get this book published, and with any proceeds that are made from it, start a fund for suicide awareness/prevention in honour of my beautiful daughter, Skyla Jaide Lomas. I would not normally ask anybody to help me financially, but I am not in a financial position at the moment to be able to fund this on my own. Any donations to help me make Skyla's and my goal of publishing her book a reality and helping other teens would be very much appreciated. Thankyou.
