Grosse Ile Bridge To Texas

What is going on in Texas is nothing shy of devastating. People from all over the country are stepping up to help. Jane Pushee & Robert Sawyer, Co-Chairmen of the event "Grosse Ile Bridge to Texas", and island residents have decided to take matters into their own hands with the help of business partners, and the community to show what our island does for others.
"We live on fantasy island" as many say, and in reality we do, however what makes it such an amazing place are the people, businesses, and community we have that makes it so special.
September 9th we have an event from 8am - 8pm on Macomb st across from Kroger that will house the 1 day event to fill a semi truck donated by Leighann Fredrick, President of Northfield Trucking in Romulus Mi. We will be reaching out to the island and beyond and go Facebook live for 12 hours to fill a truck containing 45,000 lbs. of needed items for the event.
We have worked With the Greater Houston Charity Organization to see the items get there safe and in the hands of those that need it. The event is co-sponsored by Real Estate One, GILIFT Transportation,Northfield Trucking & The Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority.
