Lets Help the Komar/Murphy Family

My name is Lisa Potter ,I live in Torrance CA ,a friend of Jodi's and her family since we were 8 years old. They live in League City, Texas. A city hit by Hurricane Harvey. This was the update once they were able to see that damage .From Jodi:So filed FEMA claim, as insurance will cover structure (we hope) but not all the personal stuff that has been lost. I have never needed any kind of assistance before, and have never been one to ask for help. But filing this claim has humbled me. I will need help. My husband and I have lost all of his tools, with which he makes the money to support his daughter, me and my kids. Yes, I work. But a teacher's salary does not go far with 4 kids, but I try to make it work, as my children are not his burden. But Gene always steps up when my kids need something, by donating so much time, and picking up financial slack when he can. I am humbled to be loved by a man who carries out dogs in waist deep water to find land. I am blessed to be loved by a man who keeps his Faith in God despite being strongly affected by Murphy's Law. I do not know what our future holds, and our immediate future is going to be busy, stressful, and scary. But I am so grateful God Gave Me Eugene. Because last night, as we slept side by in a twin bed in an upstairs bedroom surrounded by our 3 dogs, I felt safe and knew everything would be ok, because I am not alone. I am loved. My kids are loved. Gene has given me Faith in a higher power, because someone sent him to me.Please join me and a handful of her childhood friends, donate any amount you can to assist in the efforts to recover some of the damaged items.
