Urgent Healthcare Campaign

My very good friend and fellow activist, Heather Brown, is in dire need of assistance. Like many Americans she does not have health insurance, cannot afford Obamacare and does not qualify for Medicaid. Heather is unable to work outside her home because she is the sole caregiver for her husband, Randy, who is totally disabled by the ravages of diabetes. Imagine trying to support a family of 5 on a SS Disability check of $1,200 per month. She writes fiction novels to supplement the family's income under the Pen name Mari Brown.

For two years Heather has needed corrective surgery on her jaw where a metal plate needs to be removed. She has suffered intermittent staph infections for 2 years. She never truly gets well because she is allergic to the most effective antibiotic. At this point if Heather does not get surgery she is at risk of dying. This need is immediate. Her Doctor and the hospital have agreed to do the surgery for $12,000, but we must move quickly. Please look into your heart and find the generosity to contribute whatever you can afford.
