Hi Everyone,
Alyssa has been selected to dance on Team Canada to compete in The World Show Dance Championships this November. We are excited that Alyssa has been given this opportunity since her sister Maya went to Germany in 2017 and her team brought home a Bronze Medal for Canada. Alyssa needs to raise money to cover the cost of her flight, accommodations, entry fees, choreography and costume fees. We will be so grateful for any financial help you can provide. Alyssa will be travelling to represent Canada at the official IDO World Showdance Championships to be held in Zielona Gora, Poland from Nov 12 - Nov 19, 2022. Auditions for Team Canada Dance brought some of the best dancers from across Canada to vie for a position to represent our country at this prestigious event. We are so very honoured to have been chosen by Ms. Kim Barker, a renowned Canadian choreographer to represent Team Canada Dance! The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a World Dance and Dance-Sport Federation with a membership of over 90 Nations, representing more than 250,000 dancers, from six continents. The best dancers from around the World will be competing for the World Championships Title! Dancers of our caliber train for many hours a week in order to represent our country with pride. Each dancer is required to raise their own funds to cover all travel, (air & ground), resort fees, ground transportation, choreography fees, costume fees, IDO entry fees, starter fees, international licensee fees and travel fees to Toronto for rehearsals. The IDO is a European based Organization so our Canadian Dollar must also be converted to Euros. Each dancer must also obtain their own sponsors as the Canadian Dance Teams do not have a major sponsor and do not receive Government Support. 100% of what you are donating goes directly for our participation to represent Canada on the world stage!
