Valentina has been nothing short of a warrior, a hero to us all for fighting this battle with cancer since January 2016. Many people have asked what they can do to help financially and I believe it's finally time to take you all up on your kind offers.
VALENTINA'S STORY:
Valentina was diagnosed with stage IV hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) in January 2016. She was immediately withdrawn from school and began intensive chemotherapy. She had surgery to remove the tumor on her 7th birthday, May 6th 2016. After another couple rounds of chemo, she was given the ok to return to school just in time to start 2nd grade.
We prayed she would go into full remission but unfortunately that was not the case. In January 2017 they found two small tumors in her pelvic bone. With the amazing support of our family, her school (DAK-8) and her teacher, she was able to continue school and finish 2nd grade (with all A's and B's I must add :) while going through radiation and chemotherapy treatments. There have been a few bumps along the way but she is doing great and is handling these treatments like a true champ!!
With the start up of school and Valentina continuing with treatment, she will be absent quite a lot. Although her Abi helps an ENORMOUS amount with taking her to appointments and staying with her at the hospital, she will need more of Mom's time to make sure she stays caught up with school. More of mom's time means less work which means less income. Please help us thrive as a family and be able to provide clean, healthy groceries that will aid Valentina in her recovery and keep her strong.
