It is with great sadness that the ECCOA announces that Duke passed away on 9-14-17. Duke was a true fighter and lived his last days doing what made him happy, fighting crime. Once the cancer became worse his partner/handler made the hard choice to not let him suffer. We want to thank everyone who donated to his cause and to the ECCOA. We also want to thank the city El Cajon and ECPD who have been there all the way with us!
For those with Cancer, FIGHT on and be Duke Strong!
Any donation made in Duke’s name goes to the El Cajon Canine Officers Association (ECCOA). The ECCOA’s mission is to support the retired canines and pay for their medical costs and to support the K9 team. Currently El Cajon has three retired canines living with their former handlers. The ECCOA is a 501(c)(3) organization.
