Jamie's Breast CA Journey

Donation protected
If you know my sister-in-law, Jamie Samson, you probably already know that she has been battling Stage 2 Breast Cancer since March of this year. She has been a faithful warrior throughout this battle, trusting in God to lead her path. We are beyond thankful that she has come so far and that her pathology results of her recent mastectomy were excellent! Thank you to all that have prayed for her. Our prayers have been heard. As you can imagine, Jamie has not been able to work consistently since her diagnosis in March. Her chemotherapy treatments were extremely hard on her body (causing her to be hospitalized twice.) Now that she has had the Bilateral mastectomy, she will be out for at least 6 weeks. She will also have a revision surgery (possibly 2) in approximately 4 months to complete the reconstruction process. That will cause her to miss a few more weeks of work as well. Jamie is a dedicated wife and mother, as you all know. She absolutely loves her occupation as a sonographer and is eager to get back to work to help support her family. Both of her employers have been extremely gracious to hold her positions until she can return. I know she is relieved by that because she truly loves both of her work families. I took it upon myself to create this page in hopes of getting some financial relief for Jamie and Chris. They are not the type to ask for "hand outs." However, these circumstances are different. They have managed to make things work for almost 5 months, but they could really use some help now. The medical bills are astronomical (even with "great" insurance), as you can imagine. But even the "regular bills" don't stop just because she can't work. As Jamie struggles physically and emotionally with this battle against cancer, it is my hope that we can help give them a sense of financial security so that she, her husband, Chris, and their children, Kallie, Kara, and Carter can continue to live each day as normally as possible, given the life-altering situation they are so bravely facing. If you find it in your heart to donate any funds to help them out it would be greatly appreciated. But PLEASE, above all things, continue to pray for Jamie and her family as she continues this journey. Sincerely, Allison
