Steve's Recovery Fund
Those of you that don’t know Steve should know that he is the founder of a charity called 50 Legs. Steve’s charity has helped over 550 people get prosthetic legs. We just
want to give back to a guy that’s given so
much to others!
As some of you already know Steve injured and completely tore his Achilles’ tendon a few weeks ago and now requires surgery. Steve’s surgery is scheduled for next week February 23rd. The surgery itself is outpatient and Steve will do great. What isn’t easy is the recovery. Due to him being an amputee, he really needs his leg to be strong. Steve has to be in bed for the first two weeks and completely non-weight bearing for 2 months. The total recovery time is 6 months. With lots of therapy and doing everything the doctors tell him, best case scenario is that Steve can work some in 4 months. That’s where we come in. This is NOT something Steve wants, but after talking to all of our amazing friends this is what is best. We really don’t want him to worry about his finances right now. And I know so many that will want to help him in some way or another during this time. The best thing is to make a donation, any amount, and/or send your prayers for a speedy recovery to our buddy. Steve has helped sooo many people and we really want to help him anyway we can. If you have any questions please direct them to me (Gem). Steve needs to focus on his surgery and recovery.
