My name is Iker Puente. I´m a psychologist, psychotherapist, researcher, professor and writer from Barcelona.
In April 2017 I published my first book "Psychedelic research and psychedelic psychotherapy: past, present and future". The book is selling well in Spanish and has been well received. I formally presented the book in the Oficial College of Psychologist of Barcelona, and I have also presented it in Bilbao, Ibiza, at the Barcelona Psychedelic Society and at the MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference in Oakland.
The book is a complete journey through the work that is currently being done in this field, collecting the contributions of numerous researchers and psychotherapists who are leading the return to this type of research, as well as the work done during the 1960s and 1970s by a series of pioneering researchers. This book includes a total of 16 in-depth and updated interviews with Stanislav Grof, Claudio Naranjo, James Fadiman, William Richards, David Nichols, Rick Doblin, Amanda Feilding, Torsten Passie, Jordi Riba, Roland Griffiths, José Carlos Bouso, Michael and Ann Mithoefer, Alicia Danforth, Robin Carhart-Harris and Jeffrey Guss. The book describes in detail the moment in which this research is right now, and points to the future of this flourishing and promising field of study.
At the MAPS conference, several people asked me if I planned to publish the book in English. A few months lates at the Breaking Convention in London, several people suggested and encouraged me translate it, and I began to think more seriously and to look for publishers.

Mi nomber es Iker Puente. Soy psicologo, psicoterapeuta, investigador, formador y escritor afincado en Barcelona.
El mes de abril del año pasado publiqué mi primer libro "Investigación y psicoterapia psicodélica: pasado, presente y futuro". El libro se está vendiendo bien en castellano y esta teniendo una buena acogida. La presentación oficial del libro se hizo en el Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos de Barcelona, y también lo he presentado en Bilbao, Ibiza, el Espai Tci en Barcelona, en la Psychedelic Society Barcelona y en Psychedelic Science Conference de MAPS en San Francisco.
El libro es un completo recorrido por el trabajo que se está realizando actualmente en este campo, recogiendo las aportaciones de numerosos investigadores y psicoterapeutas que están protagonizando el retorno a este tipo de investigación, así como el trabajo realizado a lo largo de las décadas de 1960 y 1970 por una serie de investigadores pioneros. Este libro incluye un total de 16 entrevistas en profundidad y actualizadas con algunas de las figuras más destacadas de este campo: Stanislav Grof, Claudio Naranjo, James Fadiman, William Richards, David Nichols, Rick Doblin, Amanda Feilding, Torsten Passie, Jordi Riba, Roland Griffiths, José Carlos Bouso, Michael y Ann Mithoefer, Alicia Danforth, Robin Carhart-Harris y Jeffrey Guss. El libro describe con detalle el momento en el que se encuentra esta investigación en la actualidad, y apunta hacia el futuro de este floreciente y prometedor campo de estudio.
Fue precisamente en la conferencia de MAPS donde varias personas me preguntaron si tenía previsto publicar el libro en ingles. Unos meses después en la Breaking Convention en Londres varias personas me volvieron a sugerir que la tradujera, y empece a pensarlo más seriamente y a mirar editoriales en ingles.
Así que he abierto una campaña de CrownFunding para cubrir los gastos de la traducción y edición del libro para la versión en ingles. Os invito a que apoyes mi campaña.
