One Person Can Make a Difference

Tax deductible

Over winter break and during the height of the pandemic, I had the honor of interviewing Bill Bracken, CEO and Founder of Bracken's Kitchen in Garden Grove, CA. Prior to meeting over Zoom, I had heard bits and pieces of his story, but there was nothing like hearing it from Bill himself. After hopping off the call, I knew I could not sit on this information without sharing it. Sure enough, an organization called “The Christophers” was hosting their 33rd Annual College Student Video Contest with the theme of "One person can make a difference." I immediately thought of Bill's remarkable story and created this video to share with you all.

I hope you find his story as inspiring as I have and will want to contribute to help end food insecurity and its overall waste. With 40% of our food supply being thrown away, we can work to feed the 12% like Ruby and friends who are going hungry each day! If you are not in a position to donate, I hope you’ll take the time to watch this video and learn that sometimes all someone needs is a hug or to simply know that someone cares. Thank you.

Blessings,

Jillian
