Let's Help Skip Smith

Donation protected

On Monday, July 31st, my brother-in-law Skip Smith wasn't feeling well and at the insistence of his wife, Dena she took him in to be seen. At the urgent care they took his blood pressure and immediately sent him to the ER, where it was discovered that he had life-threatening elevated blood pressure, fluid on his lungs, and was in kidney and heart failure.  He was admitted and has been in the hospital since having multiple scans and blood tests run. A MRI on his brain also showed that he had a small stroke as well. He is stabilized but because he has lived so long with high blood pressure the traditional methods of lowering it do not work. When Skip's blood pressure approaches normal levels he starts having stroke like symptoms and behavior changes. Because of this he is on IV blood pressure medications to slowly lower his pressures over a matter of days. Dena has not left his side to take care of herself except for short times. Skip is the primary provider for this family and with the medical bills mounting up and no income coming in, family and friends want to help. This family is hugely involved with the Eatonville community and supports and loves the Eatonville HS sports community. So let's come together and support them in their time of need. No matter how big or small, anything well help. Thank you
