Edies Stomach + Intestine Surgery

This is my sweet billion dollar baby Edie . She came into our lives back in July of 2010 and has been destroying toys, rugs, shoes, couches and freshly laid sod ever since. She has a real knack for destroying indestructible dogs toys and has never met an object that could last in the ring as long as she could, until July 28th. Friday July 28th while hanging out at home with her human family she must have gotten into a nasty scuffle with a piece of plastic . The plastic made her extremely ill but was undetected by X-rays . Further testing and treatments were given for the next 5 days. Her spirits remained high, she continued to be her sweet, face licking and well behaved self all while the plastic started to migrate through her small intestine causing a 10 inch tear.Finally when all non invasive treatments were exhausted she was brought into surgery. That's when the plastic and damage was discovered. Edie is now on the road to recovery. She's a tough girl that showed very few signs that she was sick. She's a real fighter and has a long playful happy life to live. Her medical bills are still rolling in and she will have to have more treatments . She is a part of our family. She is the sister to my 12 year old son. We need help to cover some of the debt that came with all of the treatments, countless X-rays over nights at the emergency vet hospital and surgery.
