Love for Lea

Lea DiRusso has dedicated her life to teaching Philadelphia's youth. She spent 28 years in Philadelphia's schools as a special education teacher and made a tremendous impact on her students. At the end of the summer, Lea was diagnosed with Malignant  Peritoneal Mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that is caused by asbestos. She is unable to work and is on a difficult journey of treatment. She is dearly missed by her students and colleagues at Meredith Elementary School and we wanted to support her by creating a fundraiser to help her family during this incredibly difficult time. Please help us spread the word and give what you can. She has given so much to the Philadelphia community, and now it's our turn to give back.
