Accident Victim- Family Needs Help

Thursday July 27th 2017 in the blink of an eye, the lives of Martin Cruz-Stratton, his girlfriend Noni Reed, their one year old son and their families were thrown into turmoil after Martin had a horrific long boarding accident on his way to work. Martin is in Harborview Hospital in Seattle WA in the ICU. He is recovering from multiple skull fractures, several broken ribs, multiple facial fractures and the worst of his injuries, massive brain swelling on both sides of his brain. Emergency surgery Thursday evening was performed to remove a blood clot and to allow room for the high level of swelling on the right side of his brain. He has more surgeries ahead for the facial fractures, the eventual replacement of his skull bone and much healing and rehab to do. He is beginning to remember people and speak words slowly but surely as the swelling recedes. We are blessed that he is showing these positive signs and hopeful for a full recovery with time. Martin is almost 22 years old and the sole provider for his young family as Noni is currently in school. They will need to move in with family next month as the hard work of his rehab will require a village and substantial funds to cover medical expenses not covered by insurance plus living expenses.
