Our best friend Seamus and his beautiful wife Fiona found what everyone searches for in life - true love. The giddiness of their first date, getting engaged followed by marriage and then welcoming their perfect daughter Katie into the world. Among these years there has been tough times as most relationships and marriages experience. But not many have to deal with the harsh reality of being diagnosed with a brain tumor in their twenties. For those of you who know Fiona you understand that she is an extraordinary human being and for those that don't I can say hand on heart you have missed out in your own life. As she has battled through numerous treatments she has remained strong and put her family and friends before her own needs. As time has developed and treatment avenues have been exhausted (surgery, radium, chemo) Fiona and Seamus remain the same two people I was lucky to meet years ago. Loving, caring, selfless, positive, even as they battle the daily routine of palliative care. With the demands of a single income, traveling to and fro, medical expenses and house conversions to name a few I would like to give something back to two people that give so much.
