500 in 5
Donation protected
500km, 5 days, 1 bike.
Starting on October 1st I’ll be attempting to ride 500km in five days to raise money for a couple great local initiatives that are taking real climate action in Victoria and beyond - the Food Eco District and Project Zero Circular Economy Loan Fund.
I want to acknowledge that I’m kicking off my ride the day after Canada’s first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. On September 30, I invite you to take a moment to consider what role you can play in progressing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
If you want to support my ride in the form of a donation, please do so here. If you wish to join me for some or part of rides, reach out!
Food Eco District (FED)
FED is working to inspire food-focused communities and ecosystems by connecting people to the food they eat, while also encouraging compelling solutions to increase climate action on Vancouver Island. Learn more here .
Project Zero Circular Economy Loan Fund
The Project Zero Circular Economy Loan Fund connects local donors and lenders with entrepreneurs in Project Zero’s Circular Economy Incubator. Through the Project Zero Incubator, new business ideas and early start-ups that look to operate within the circular economy have the opportunity to create their business plans, learn business operation fundamentals and entrepreneurial skills, connect with mentors, and develop a pitch for their business idea.
