HELP SANDRA WITH CANCER BILLS

Sandra V. Rivas passed away on Sunday, 01/19/2014 at 1:00PM, after her 7 month battle with cancer.  She put up a fight, but God called her into His Kingdom! She appreciated every donation and kind prayers. She loved you all so much for caring. Anyone who wishes to continue to donate, you can do so to help contribute to her funeral expenses. Merry Christmas everyone. Its been close to 7 months now and we are still battling the cancer. Sandra has gone through some tough treatments including, 20 rounds of radiation, including, brain, lung, and spine, several rounds of chemo and several weeks of being hospitalized. 2013 has been a rough year. Sandra has since lost her job because of her condition. We pray that God will continue to help her fight this cancer battle. Lets hope that 2014 will hold the good news Sandras has been longing for.

Hello, my name is Shane Jones. This fundraiser is for my partners mother, Sandra Rivas. About 2 months ago, she was having stomach/bowel discomfort and some nausea, along with a persistent cough. She went to the doctor, had some tests run to find a mass on her left lung. She had more tests including a PET scan and was diagnosed at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. with stage 4 colon cancer. Her cancer has spread to her lung, liver, lymph nodes, and now they've found a small spot in her brain that they'll have to watch. She is on chemotherapy in efforts to shrink the cancerous tumors. With the help of MD Anderson and God we pray this will go away. We need prayers as well as funds to help with her medical bills and house payments. She has medical insurance, but obviously it will not cover everything, like deductibles, co-pays, and food. Sandra has been forced to take a leave of absence from her job to fight this battle. After she receives rounds of chemo she spends a lot of time in bed, too weak to function. Her husband (Dad), Miguel, has taken a leave of absence from work to be her caregiver, so his income is nonexistent for the time being.

Sandra just celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary to her husband Miguel Rivas. Sandra's battle with cancer is a tough one, however, these donations would help with the struggle and the battle she is enduring.
