Martha's School Fees

Martha is a 22-year-old Tanzanian woman living in Mbeya, Tanzania. She is the daughter of a Tanzanian Bishop who organized a four-day training course for 150  pastors and leaders from remote communities in January. Martha worked with a team of people who prepared meals for course participants. On the evening after the course ended, January 20, 2018 Martha left home, carrying pots and utinsils used for the conference back to a women's group that loaned them.  She didn't make it home that night.

The next morning local police notified her father that she'd been attacked by assailants, who beat her and left her for unconscious by the roadside. She was struck on the top of her head, suffering significant blood loss and head trauma. Over $2400 was raised to cover her month-long hospitalization.  $600 more-- bringing the total amount to $3000 will cover her school tuition. She has now recovered and is currently unable to continue her studies due to setbacks due to her injury.
