Can Coach Crook hit his $5000 target to help a good friend with their recovery from cancer? Only with your support!
Over the past 5 years, Powermove Fitness has grown from a pipe dream to a fully fledged business with a studio in Camperdown named The Compound and a passionate community of supporters.
Now, with The Compound about to close its doors as the business prepares to morph into its next phase, Coach Crook invites all PMF members, clients (and anyone who wants to get involved) to pay him back for all the pain, sweat and tears (and occasional spew) he’s caused over the years do by sponsoring (and dictating) his exercise regime over an 8 hour period. All funds raised through this mammoth effort will go towards a close friend of Powermove’s to help support them through their recovery and rehabilitation from major cancer surgery.
Essentially, this is a chance for Powermovers to get their revenge on Crook and come down and watch him suffer as he farewells The Compound by pushing himself to the limits to raise money for a good cause.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
Sponsors can choose from the below list of exercises for Coach Crook to do and donate at a rate of $1 / calorie burnt or rep completed. So if you want to force Crook to burn 50 calories on the assault bike, you could donate $50 and mention ‘Assault Bike’ in the comment you leave. Or if you just want to generally get behind the cause, make a donation of any amount and Crook will split the reps up across the exercise range.
EXERCISE OPTIONS:
- ASSAULT AIR BIKE (CALORIES) - BURPEES (REPS)
- SKIERG (CALORIES) - BOX JUMPS (REPS)
- ROWER (CALORIES) - PULL-UPS (REPS)
- STAIRMASTER (CALORIES) - KICK SITS (REPS)
- SLED PUSH (REPS 10M TRACK) -THRUSTERS 30KG (REPS)
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Crook will be undertaking this massive 8 hour session next weekend on Easter Saturday, March 31 from 8am - 4pm. Afterwards we might slip down to The Lady Hampshire for a (well earned) celebratory beverage

But of course! The Compound will have an open door policy throughout the day so come down whenever and cheer him on or even bang out a few reps yourself in solidarity. There’ll be some snacks and beverages provided courtesy of our good friends at FRANK STRONGS.
