Helping A Brother In Need

Every service member deals with personal stresses differently. Right now, there is a particular veteran that is in need of help. A good friend and fellow paratrooper has been dealing with his personal demons and they about got the better of him. We had spoke the other day about a recent breakdown he had had, and we agreed that he needed to seek help. Jon turned himself into the VA later that day to get the help that I much needed. Now anyone who has ever had to deal with emotional stresses, should already know that it not only takes a toll on that person, but their family too. Mr Gilmore has been admitted to the VA hospital, and with that being said, his family has lost that income because of him being out of work due to this situation. There is a very large network of fellow veterans, and a very loyal family of PARATROOPERS that are willing to reach out and help this family. We are just all scattered across the globe. So I'm starting this GoFundMe so we have a central donating platform to try and raise money for travel, lodging and food for a couple of us to make the long trip from the East coast to Eastern Texas to give our personal support to him and his family with boots on the ground. Every dime not used for travel expenses, will go directly to the Gilmore household. I'm not really sure what to set the goal to, so as just a round figure, and if we are to hit that goal, help his family tremendously, I'm setting it at $10k. That may be a stretch of a goal, but with the support that we've already reached out to, it may very well be possible. Myself and another brother are willing to out our personal lives on hold to make this journey for a brother in need.
