A Hand Up For Nurse Wendy Harman

Hello,My name is Wendy Harman. Eight years ago, I contracted (and was successfully treated for) Lyme disease. In February of this year, I developed new symptoms, much worse than the last time I had Lyme. This time the disease has limited the mobility of my left shoulder, decreased my overall muscle strength, and left me with recurring headaches and short term memory issues. Besides my antibiotics, I am receiving both physical therapy and occupational therapy, which have contributed to positive improvements in my health and well-being. On the recommendation of my occupational therapist, I saw a neurological ophthalmologist, in the hope that new glasses would help with my headaches. Great news! The new prism glasses have both decreased the frequency and intensity of my recurring headaches. The bad news - both the new ophthalmologist and eye glasses were not covered by my insurance, and as a result, I have a $1,099 medical bill. A friend asked how they can help; any help to pay this unanticipated expense would be appreciated. Thank you everyone for your well wishes, prayers and emotional support during my illness.
