Mission to the Phillippines
Donation protected
My Church (Crossbridge Christian Church) has been called to go on a mission trip to Orion, Bataan in the Philippines.
My wife, knowing my love of people and missions, encouraged me to go, even though it would mean her staying home for almost 2 weeks with our 2 year old daughter.
Then the question of how to finance came up, well I work 3 jobs (I am a cook at The Dinner Dude, a server at The Pass & Provisions and a part time caterer with my Father at Simpletons Catering) Oh did I mention I also love to feed people. I do all that to support my wife and child, so they can be together during the most important developmental years of my daughters life. It doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room in my budget for mission trips.
Our church has already done huge donations into the mission trip towards all the building materials, where we are going and what we are doing is truly awesome, there is a young Pastor out at Orion, he is a child of 2 Pastor parents who died while he was very young. God called him to be a Pastor and so far he has assembled a meeting of believers (a.k.a a Church) but they are meeting in homes and various locations. Our plan is to build them a building where they can go to worship. God, through our small congregation of 250 has already put up $12,000 for the foundation, materials, housing e.t.c, so the burden of the flights ($1500 ea) has fallen to us, myself and the 13 other missionaries. The due date for the money is November the 9th and in desperation I turned to Google and found this website. In the photo you see the people who are awaiting our arrival and also the location on which we will be building the sanctuary.
The building itself will have a stage, a baptistry, facilities and everything you would expect a modern day church to have (I am unsure about A/C, though I highly doubt it "/)
If you can donate, great! please do, if not your prayers are appreciated and needed. I know that if God wants me to go on this mission trip He will find a way to make it happen, and I wanted to leave no stone unturned.
Thank you for reading and God Bless.
