Help Gary win the battle!

In November of 2014, my Dad went in for a kidney biopsy  due to the beginning stages of kidney failure and other issues going on.  What should have been a quick process turned into something no family wants to hear.  After the kidney biopsy one of the Dr's decided they wanted to some further test and bone marrow testing. This all occured on a Friday, the very next day on Saturday we received the call that Dad had multiple myeloma.  He was to meet with an oncologist that Monday.  He meet with oncologist that Monday and started Chemo and drugs the same day.  Dad has undergone Chemo and different drugs from November - March. In March his Dr. recommended for him to have a stem cell transplant, that was the next step in the treatment.  On March 16, we met with the Stem cell transplant Dr to see how the process would go and just to get general information. At that time my Dad was told that if he wanted to rather than being inpatient for the weeks he would be at the hospital he could stay at the hospital apartments to make the treatment easier on him and the family. He will still be required to go to the hospital on a daily basis for treatment but be in a more relaxed comfortable enviroment. The cost to stay there is $50/day. We were hoping that insurance would pay for this, but unfortunately were told yesterday that insurance does not pay for this and he would have to pay out of pocket or stay in the hospital where insurance would cover.  We are looking at, at least a 2-3 week stay. I am trying to help with the cost of the apartment and parking for the hospital daily.  If you know my Dad you know he is one of the kindest, will do anything for anyone people you will ever meet. He would never ask for help from anyone, so I am doing it for him! If you feel in your heart to help us out, it would be greatly appreciated! While this stem cell transplant is not a cure and will not totally get rid of the cancer, it is our best option right now and will hopefully give him a longer remission period!
