Help for our dearest Melinda

Melinda--
Our dearest friend, mother, sister, aunt, co-worker, cousin, wife; these are a few titles that we know her by. But those of us who really ‘know’ Melinda would describe her as a spunky, joyful, selfless, positive, outgoing, sugar to our tea, wonderful, caring, human being.
As you all know, Melinda’s son has been fighting a battle against illness and hasn’t been able to perform everyday life functions for the past 3 yrs. Melinda has been by her son’s side, being his caretaker, keeping him strong and helping him to keep a positive attitude and outlook on life, as she does herself every day regardless of the obstacles thrown her way. This says a lot about Melinda’s character. Words can’t describe the person Melinda is and how many lives she’s touched just being herself. People are attracted and drawn to her caring personality and humorous ways.
I feel people come into our lives for a reason, and if there is one thing Melinda has taught us all, it is to enjoy every day as if it were your last, love those closest in our lives, never let negativity replace your joy and happiness, strive to do the best you can, and always treat every single person with dignity, grace, and care.
Recently Melinda has hit a bump in the road and was surprised to learn of her diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer. Although Melinda is a Warrior in life, taking on any issues head on, and turning any negative into a positive, she now has the burden of ‘not’ knowing and other unexpected worries that she’ll have to carry on her already heavy shoulders.
With the demand of her son’s full time medical attention, Melinda was forced to quit her job a few months ago. The cancer diagnosis has caused tremendous stress on not only herself, but her entire family.
Melinda has always been the first to offer help anytime for anybody who needs it. She’s constantly caring for others, and we feel it is now our turn to care for her. In the battle against breast cancer, there will be many costly treatments coming Melinda’s way. We’re hoping to join this fight with her, and let her know she’s not alone during this difficult time. Every dollar, every cent counts, and any amount that can be donated is a true blessing. We thank you for your time in reading this and helping our dearest friend, who means a lot to us all.
