According to the World Health Organization, approximately 450 million people currently struggle with mental health challenges, making it the leading cause of disability worldwide. Tragically, about 4,000 Canadians lose their lives to suicide annually, translating to almost 11 suicides per day, affecting individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

This October, I will be running my first full marathon to raise awareness for mental health, a cause that is dear and personal to me. My efforts will be in support of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation. CAMH is passionately committed to instigating change in the field of mental health. Through the generosity of philanthropy, the Foundation is determined to facilitate cutting-edge care, research, and education at CAMH, Canada's leading mental health hospital.
