411 Charlotte St, Nova Scotia, Canada - Fundraiser

Donation protected

This is a fundraiser to help out the international students who lost their home due to the fire that happened on March 28 2020 on Charlotte St, Sydney (Across from The Old Triangle) Nova Scotia, Canada.

Eleven people lost their home and watched their belongings turned into ashes during what was already described as a tough time due to the COVID-19  pandemic. The individuals who were affected are mostly international student from Kerala, India who are being comforted by their friends and family far and near. Fortunately they were able to secure some of their important documents such as passports, visas and certificates. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but is presumed to have originated from an area of the building that was not occupied.

As many of us know, international students in Canada are only allowed to work limited hours per week while attending university or college. Cape Breton being so small and one of the hardest economies to find a job a lot of the international students can barely make ends meet.

Finding a new place to call home during this time will be quite a challenge. Along with that they need food, clothes and other necessities .  Due to the pandemic, they are unable to work and have no income at the moment.

Please make a donation within your ability to help them out. I can't deny that we are all going through a tough time right now but we are all in this together so let's help them out the best way we can.
