Shane and his family's world has been flipped upside down overnight. What started out with Sebastian having headaches has been discovered to be a brain Tumor.  Sebastian has had headaches that were thought to be migraines, but in reality it was much worse.  February 10th Sebastian started having not only the headaches, but pain behind his eyes.  He was taken to the emergency room with the new symptom despite having an appointment the next day at DENT Neurological Inst.  It was then that the Suburban ER Doctor had to break the terrible news. These weren't just headaches, there was a 5.8cm tumor in the Thalamus region of his brain.  Sebastian was then transported to Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. February 12th pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Li preformed a craniotomy and removed 60% of the tumor.  Part of the tumor was poorly defined so he was cautious not to take too much.  The tumor was sent to pathology.  MRI results the next day showed that despite the tumor removal, the fluid was still not draining from his brain so a shunt (drain) had to be placed immediately. We are still awaiting the results of the tumor and we are praying the tumor is benign.

Sebastian has been incredibly strong and brave through this last week. I have no doubt he will continue to have that strength throughout this journey. With that though, he really needs his father and mother's full time and support during this extremely tough journey.

Shane is an incredible father. The love he has for his son Sebastian and his daughter Maiah is absolutely beautiful. There is no doubt he would trade places in a heartbeat if it meant he could heal his family from any tragedy. Shane runs on very little sleep to continue to be the rock that his family needs, especially at this time. It's important that Shane can continue to be there for his son, as well as for his daughter as she watches her little brother battle this very tough battle.

In order for Shane to continue to be there for his family, we are asking for contributions to help with Shane's finances.
