33yr old Mom With Terminal Cancer

My name is Sarah, and I was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer called inflammatory breast cancer at stage 4 in October 2015. Unfortunately, I begged my doctor to tell me some idea of how long I have left with my family. Her response shocked me. She said in her experience with this type of cancer, she doesn't think I will be around to see my 2yr old turn 5. Before this nightmare began, I had a wonderful job as a respiratory care practitioner at UCSF. I wasn't a benefited employee, so I had no sick time or paid time off. I will not be returning to work, We have been unsuccessful in removing the cancer, and now aim to slow it down. I will be on chemotherapy for the rest of my days, in hopes it will give me more time. As suggested by my doctor, we want to do some traveling with our 2 boys ages 2 and 7. I've used 6 different chemo meds, and 25 radiation sessions, and had a big 12 hr double mastectomy with diep flap. Now it's time for me to have some fun, see the world, and visit places I've always wanted to see, before I am too sick. All of that takes money though, and that is something we don't have a lot of since now we have to be on welfare to survive.
