Our father Pablo Navarrete, turned 51 years old on June 28th, 2013. He has been with our mother Sylvia for 27 years, during that time they had 2 daughters, 5 sons and now have two grandaughters.

In 2009 our father was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. He underwent 4 major surgeries, tons of chemo and radiation treatments. In 2012 he had to get a permanent colostomy. Being the fighter that he is he has tried to live a life as normal as he could to his normality. Our father since the age of 12 years old has worked really hard to provide for his family. When he came to the United States he was was in search for the "American dream" where he has always worked and been a good citizen of this country.

Our father and our brother Pablo Jr. started a small construction company called "P & P Construction. Since being diagnosed he had continue to wake up early, be involved as much as possible with the side jobs he would give estimates for and later contract. He contined having pain through out the years, but never allowed himself to be bedridden. All 5 of his boys would do the labor while he supervised and educated them on the business.

On August 3rd, 2013 our father was hospitalized due to the severe pain he was having. He underwent several MRI's, CAT scans, and blood draws in order to find the cause of his out of the ordinary pain. On August 8th, 2013 we received the devastating news that we never wanted to accept would happen. The cancer had spread and had now affected his lungs. We were told there was no cure, his life span would be short and he would need to be placed on hospice. He immediatley decided he wanted to spend his remaining time at the comfort of his own home with his family.

He has been home since August 9th, 2013 and we have been by his side the entire time. Our mother keeps track of the meds he needs to take, feed him what ever meal he craves, and helps maintain his hygiene. We also assist our mom with caring for our father and try to spoil him as much as possible. Though it is difficult to accept the reality, we understand that in the near future his physical body will no longer be by our side. He constantly reminds us of needing to be strong, to understand this is part of life and how much he loves us.

We are asking for help because at this moment we do not have the necessary funds for funeral expenses or for our mother's future expenses. Our mother also sufferes from many complicated health issues and has not been able to work for several years. If anyone could help us with donations our family would appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Please pray for our family and please help us to help our parents.

God Bless,
7 children who love their parents
