Guess what everybody:YOU DID IT!!!!!!
It is unbelievable, with all of the support God has graciously given us through all of you, we have found and purchased a handicapped accessible van. We are amazed at how generous all of you have been with us.
Through the growth of the giving on the website we began looking at vans. This is something we didn't think we could ever do. We were using our van and trying to make it work with portable ramps which wasn't really working. We were introduced to an incredibly generous person with a van. We purchased it, a 2006 Toyota Sienna, with just 31k miles on it. It has an automatic door, with an automatic ramp and lowered floor. Because of this person's generosity, we are now able to make sure the van has new tires and tackle a few other repairs. Words can't express how excited we are to now pivot towards other hurdles like Matthew's new power chair and significant bills at Nationwide Children's Hospital. We ordered his chair on Friday and hope to have it in a month. Matthew had a chance to pick the colors, he chose scarlet & gray and he has already named it Brutus!
This journey is still going to be financially taxing, we still have to modify our home and we will have ongoing visits to Children's, along with equipment to buy. We are so grateful to you and thank God for you. Our friends are insisting that this site stay up, God bless them! With your generosity, we have hit our main goal!
