Support For Micah Smith and Family

Friends , please consider helping provide financial support for Jennifer and Michael Smith as they seek out the necessary treatment for their son Micah, who is battling to keep his eyesight after contracting a rare and aggressive parasite that is attacking his eyes. The medicine needed has to be purchased and shipped from France. Micah also requires regular trips back and forth the the Callahan Eye Center in Bhm. ALL funds will go towards the cost of medicines, gas to get to Callahan regularly and parking. MICAHs STORY BY HIS MOM, JENNIFER SMITH Please be in prayer for Micah. Last week he developed a corneal ulcer in one of his eyes. We began treating it but after several days of treatment it was not responding and he began to complain of his other eye hurting too. We took him to two different doctors yesterday and one today and they believe the corneal ulcer is being caused by a parasite called acanthameba. He has lost vision in one eye and is losing vision in the other. They do not know when or if the vision will return. This is extremely hard to treat and could possibly lead to a corneal transplant or permanent loss of vision. The eye drops we need are not available locally. I had to order one drop from France and the other drop can only be shipped to me from one pharmacy in the US and it is ridiculously expensive. I need all of my prayers warriors to pray for God's healing hand to touch Micah's eyes and heal him. He is going to another doctor tomorrow for another opinion and we may even have to take him to Houston to see a doctor out there who specializes in this particular eye condition. Please please pray that God will heal him, that Micah will not lose heart and faith during all of this, that the doctors will have wisdom beyond their own understanding, and that Michael and I will be able to meet his needs as well as the needs of the rest of our children.
