Friends and Family:

We would like to thank you all for your prayers and for your support in this difficult time in our lives. God has truly gained an Angel. Many of you have asked how you can help the family and if we have a fund set up to help with expenses related to Aria's care and funeral arrangements. We thank you for your thoughtfulness. If you would like to contribute, we have set up this account through Go Fund Me.

Thank you so much for all the prayers, love, and support you have given us. We are blessed to have you in our lives.

God Bless You,

Jonathan and Ruby

We wanted to share this August 11, 2013 post from Aria's grandmother by love, Jane.

Miracles. I've been thinking about them a lot these past few days and certainly praying for a miracle for our Aria along with each of you. God didn't grant us the specific miracle we asked for. Our baby could not recover from her suffocation and is with Jesus. What God did though is grant miracles to many others and that in itself is the miracle of our baby Aria. Jonathan and Ruby made the most generous decision parents in their situation can make; they agreed to donate Aria's organs. The miracle other parents with sick babies have been praying for is about to happen. They just do not know it yet and my prayer is that those precious babies so in need of an organ can now live a long life with a little bit of Aria in them.

This decision to donate organs requires that Aria be kept on life support after she's been declared legally dead so the transplant process can work. I am in awe of Jonathan and Ruby's sacrifice in doing this and humbled by the faith they have shown, a faith which brings peace and grace to all of us. This is another miracle that was answered. So many of you prayed for them too and God has heard those prayers and he wrapped his arms around Jonathan and Ruby and infused them with his love. To witness this has again shown me the power of prayer.

The other miracle I've witnessed is how a small child can bring so many together and heal wounds that have long been open. Isaiah 11:6 says, "The calf and the lion will graze together, and a little child will lead them." God uses each of his children for his purpose, and even the tiniest ones can be a witness to God.

Aria's death was so unexpected. No parent can imagine having a healthy baby one moment, and in the next moment seeing their child laying in a hospital bed on life support. It is difficult to make sense of this, except to know that this precious child's life had meaning and the meaning of her life continues even in death.

In the words of my Spanish speaking family here, Muchas gracias y que Dios los bendiga.

With love,
Jane
