India Misison Trip!

Hi Family and Friends!
I hope everyone is well! I wanted to let you know of an opportunity that has come about for me to participate in a mission trip to India. With Allegheny Center Alliance Church (ACAC), I will be traveling to Puttur, India to serve and support the Good Shepherd Mission (GSM). We will be helping and serving the mission staff and 180 orphan children, conducting daily evening outdoor evangelistic services in surrounding villages, setting up medical camps for local villagers, volunteering at GSM's AIDS/HIV clinic, preparing food and feeding hundreds of villagers, and will conclude with a large evangelistic rally, witnessing to thousands about the redemptive love and power of Jesus Christ.
Good Shepherd Mission (GSM) is operated by Bro. Henry Bhasker (President and Founder) and his son, Bro. Praveen Kumar (Medical Director). This ministry was established in 1979 by Bro Henry and his late wife, Viola, located in the village of Puttur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It started as an orphanage for 9 boys and has developed into many outreach ministries including:
-Low-cost hospital care (oftentimes free), eye and dental clinics, and surgical procedures
-Several boy and girl orphanages at both campuses, and a home for the outcast and elderly
-An HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis Center for full-time care of the most vulnerable in their society
-12 village churches with pastors/evangelists
We are fundraising to help supply the needs of GSM and to purchase and transport wholesale pharmaceuticals, food for the villagers/orphans/elderly, and for books/toys to bring the orphans.
I'd like to ask, first and foremost, for your support in prayer. Prayer is the key that enables and equips us to carry out God's will and to accomplish His plans!
Secondly, I'd also like you to consider supporting this trip financially, if God leads you to do so. Sometimes, pride makes it hard for me to ask people to unite and support a good work like this, but then I just have to remember what kind of awesome God I serve! He responds to and is moved by those who have hearts for prayer and giving, and I want you to be a partaker in all the good things that He has in store, both in this lifetime and eternally. Check out the example of Cornelius.
Acts 10:1-4
"At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "˜Cornelius!' Cornelius stared at him in fear. "˜What is it, Lord?' he asked. The angel answered, "˜Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.'"
God showed mercy towards Cornelius and saved his whole family because of their faith and love for Him, expressed through devotion to prayer and helping others in need. This really inspired me and shows us how God truly rewards those who earnestly seek Him with active faith (Hebrews 11:6). What we sow now to please God will have eternal benefit for us and those around us (Galatians 6:8).
I know that not everyone is able to do a trip like this because of different life stages and responsibilities, but know that it's an absolute privilege for me to be an ambassador for Christ and to serve the least of these on your behalf. Each day of life is a gift and an adventure as we walk with and obey God, doing what He's calling us to do.
