Help Laura Fight Cancer

Don protégé
Laura Augiar was just diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer with tumors on her pancreas and liver. Currently Laura is holding tight to the hope her oncologist expressed, that her cancer is a very slow-growing kind that can be managed.

Join our Lift Laura Team!

However, treatment is extremely expensive and her status as a DACA immigrant means that she cannot receive government-funded assistance. Private donations are the only answer. Please help us make sure that this bright, talented and generous young woman has every opportunity to beat this dreadful disease. We need her to live and thrive! Your contributions will go directly to Laura to help her pay for her medical expenses.

About Luara

Laura Aguiar is a fighter who has overcome a lot in her 28 years.  As a very young child she was brought to this country by her migrant parents. As a DREAMer, without funding for college, she found a way to go anyway. At Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington, she earned a B.A. in Mathematics with honors. She served as Student Body President for a year and was re-elected for an unprecedented second term. With a prestigious fellowship, she studied mathematical models of genocide.  After graduation she’s worked for two universities, helping needy students with financial aid programs.  Laura met and married the love of her life, Crystal, and they set out to build a long and happy life together. Now she and Crystal are in the fight of their lives.
