Cancer Won't Bring Us Down

Spende geschützt
My name is Fred Davidson III. (Tripp). I've been battling an illness known Crohn's disease for the better part of my life. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in '93, after having issues and symptoms for several years. I've had multiple major surgeries (5) since I was 21. Over the last year and a half, I've been having serious complications, and trying to find out through scopes and doctors visits, what has been going on with me. Changing medications, and medication levels through the guidance of doctors just wasn't doing the job on whatever this was that was causing me to be so sick. Due to all of this, missing past the allowed absent limit allowed with my job, after 2 1/2 years with the company, I was released from my job on Jan. 2, this year. Within a week, I was admitted into the hospital to have a huge, what they thought was a "pocket of fluid", drained. This procedure gave me some relief, but unfortunately, it was only temporary. The fluid filled up in me again, and again I was admitted into the hospital to have the fluid drained again. Then, less than a month later, I was admitted once again, after seeing a new GI doctor for the first time. My new doctor admitted me that night, after ordering and seeing the results of a new CT scan. The next day, my doctor scoped me, took biopsies, and the same night I was transferred to USA Medical Center, in Mobile, AL. The following day, a GI surgeon drained the fluid, once again and took multiple biopsies from my colon. All the biopsies came back showing cancer. On the 26th of May, my surgeon opened me up and removed my colon/rectum and a massive tumor, to try and remove as much of the cancer as possible. I was released 5 days later, and went for my first follow-up(post op) on the 6th of June. At my follow-up, my surgeon informed me that the pathology reports from the tumor showed cancer in a couple of lymph nodes, that were cut out with it. I was informed then, that I am looking at at least a couple of months of radiation therapy, followed by about 6 months of chemotherapy. I have a fiancé, and a 2 year old daughter, along with my fiancé's 12 year old daughter that live with me. Since all of this has been going on, we have come to the point where we're struggling to pay bills, and keep a roof over our children's heads. On the 1st of month (June '17), we received an eviction notice from our landlord. I hate reaching out to ask for help, but at this point, I really don't know what else to do. I've applied for disability, but the disability process could take a little time. If there is anything you could afford to donate to our situation, we would greatly appreciate whatever amount that may be. And, if you've read my story, but can't afford to help, we understand completely, but ask that you please keep us lifted in thoughts and prayers. I want to thank everyone in advance. And, God Bless. Sincerely, Tripp Davidson
