Hallo liebe Leser,
Maria war vor 25 Jahren, in meiner damiligen Wahlheimat Costambar, Dominikanische Republik, eine großartige und verlässliche Haushaltshilfe und ein Teil unserer Familie.
Bei meinem letzten Besuch habe ich erfahren, dass Maria sich einer teuren Operation (60.000 Peso) unterzogen hat.
Zudem ist die Wohnsituation ihrer Familie alles andere als annehmbar.
Sie und Ihre Familie benötigen dringend Zement, Ziegelsteine, Fenster, ein regensicheres Dach sowie einen Kühlschrank und Ventilatoren.
Maria hat damals viel für uns getan und wir möchten ihr mit dieser Kampagne die Unterstützung zukommen lassen, die sie so dringend benötigt.
Uns ist es nicht möglich diese Unterstützung alleine zu leisten und möchten euch daher um Hilfe bitten.

25 years ago, our warm and reliable domestic help Maria, became a part of our family.
This was in Costambar in the Domincan Republic, were my heart still lies.
On my last visit, I learned that Maria had undergone a nasty operation (60,000 pesos).
In addition to this, is that the living situation of her family anything but acceptable.
She and her family are in need of: cement, bricks, windows, a rainproof roof, a refrigerator and ventilators.
Maria did so much for us then, therefore we want to give her the support she desperately needs with this campaign.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to provide them with this support alone, hence this cry for help.
