Friday afternoon I got a call that my mother, Joli was in a terrible car accident and was life flighted to the hospital. She spent 2 days in the ICU alone before she could remember anyone’s contact information. She’s in Missouri without family nearby. Thankfully her sister from Texas was able to stay with her for a few days.
She had a bad concussion and sustained multiple broken bones including a shattered pelvis, her hip, ribs, and collar bone and needs surgery. She won't be able to put any weight on her right leg or left arm for 8 to 10 weeks and will be in physical therapy for an unknown amount of time. Unfortunately she doesn't have health insurance and she won't be able to work.
It is a miracle that she survived! I’m so thankful her life was spared and she will be able to recover.
Joli is a fighter, she’s been through a lot of hard times before and I know she’ll make it through this. She is in a lot of pain but still has her sense of humor and slight embarrassment at all the attention.
