Dennis Hahn (Slick)

Donation protected

On May 19th Dennis "Slick" Hahn suffered a massive heart attack on his way to work. As a result of the heart attack, Dennis fell hitting his head on cement resulting in a skull fracture and a brain bleed.  Dennis has always been the one to help anybody and everybody who needed it, and that morning his coworkers and friends came to his rescue quickly calling for help and performing CPR as his heart had stopped. These men saved his life and without their quick help, Dennis would not have made it long enough for help to arrive and get him to the emergency room.  Dennis was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, where he was treated and airlifted to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center to a trauma center. Dennis stayed in the ICU for the weekend intubated and in a lot of pain.  Dennis' long road to recovery became a frustrating waiting game as his medical providers were, and still are, unable to treat his heart attack, which would require blood thinners potentially making his brain bleed worse. They are also unable to do anything for his brain bleed, as this would put too much stress on his heart. So Dennis and his recently traumatized body have been given the very difficult task of healing themselves, at least until his brain/skull is cleared for the triple bypass surgery  he will require.  Dennis has been in the hospital for two weeks now, including three days in ICU, stays in a cardiac specialty room and now a rehab room as he requires around the clock care. It remains unknown when Dennis will be able to be discharged.  Throughout this process, his wife Michelle has been by his side supporting him, working with the doctors and trying to keep him in good spirits, even as complications come and go. She will be unable to work, again due to the level of care Dennis does and will need throughout his recovery. She remains optimistic even as the medical bills are starting to come in.   As we all know, health insurance while good, doesnt cover as much as you would hope or think. So we are asking for any help anybody can spare or afford to assist with medical bills, every day bills, and any other expenses that we know are on the way. Every little bit helps and will be appreciated more than you know. Please consider helping Dennis Hahn through this long road to recovery, by making a donation.  Thank you for your time, and for helping support this wonderful man, son, brother, husband, father, grandpa, and friend.
